I have been on the road for 4 days. The Korean massage therapist was wonderful hitting all the right points in finding my sore muscles. My legs were especially sore and she was able to get the knots out. One of the better ones that I’ve been to in a long time!+++
I called for same day appt. It should have been a red flag that they had availability immediately. Also a red flag they made me pay in advance. I got in the room and the “therapist” asked me how long I wanted. I said an hour and she left the room for me to get ready. I planned to only have upper body done as my arm/shoulder area was bothering me, so I left my shorts and socks on. She came back in without even knocking about 20 seconds later. Good thing I was not doing a full body or I would have been nude upright still. Anyway, she asked me about where my tension was and I told her my right arm and shoulder. She proceeded to do a full body Swedish massage and didn’t focus on my arm or shoulder at all…at least not any more than the non-complaint areas. $85 and no relief. Steer clear unless you’re simply looking for a relaxing light rub. I’ve received better massages at home from an untrained “therapist”.
I went in asking for her to focus on a particular debilitating knot I had in my shoulder/shoulder blade area. She gave me 40-45 minutes of focus on the offending knot and the rest of the time was stretching and body massage from ankles to skullbase. Best deep tissue massage I have had in a long time. Highly recommended. (Cash only)
I came here the first time shortly after they opened. It was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. In retrospect, I think they may brought the masseuse in from Burlington to help them open and she was not a regular employee. I was excited to go back but the next time I went, a month or so later, I had the polar opposite experience. The woman I had clearly didn’t know what she was doing at all. It was like she looked up “how to give a massage” online ten minutes before. It was painful and not at all helpful or enjoyable. I actually considered getting up and leaving in the middle. So, out of a sample of two, one was five stars and one was one star (would actually give zero if that were an option) so I’m averaging it to three stars. I don’t know which one is the norm and what you will get, but I would be cautious.
I was visiting Brandon, VT and staying right across the street, at the Brandon Inn, so I was pleased that Jeannie could get me in, for a massage, right away. I found the massage very relaxing. Like the previous reviewer, I enjoyed the full body experience, including ears, toes and abdomen.
